Yoshie Sakai (’14) and others GONG SHOW Eastside International 602 Moulton Ave, Los Angeles, California 90031 April 4th, 7:30-11 pm
For the month of April Eastside International will be turned into a sleazy game show and people are invited to share performances, stand-ups, musical performances, acrobatics, bizarre talents, dances and whatever flights of fancy imaginable before a panel of judges.
These judges will be comprised of curators, writers, critics, low –grade celebrities and personalities. Each act will be allowed to perform as long as one of the judges does not hit the GONG.
After the act the judges will grade the performance and at the end of the series awards will be given to the performers for Best and Worst from each week, a few weird specific awards and a Master of Gong Show award.
These trophies will be made by sculptors and on display for the entirety of the show after which they will be awarded to their winners during the Awards Ceremony on the closing night.
