¿Do Geese See God?

¿Do Geese See God? is an exhibition that discusses where science and mythology overlap and how the two fields inform our emotional and psychological viewpoints of the world. A tribute to the struggle and balance of nature and our on-going complex conversation with it:
“The work in ¿Do Geese See God? is loud, aggressive and alive. The subjects range from deconstructed woodland imagery, animals, water, light, and night. The paintings compress all of these subjects into hybridized forms, entire ecosystems, moving and acting as one. These are images and objects of anthropomorphized landscapes and deified wildlife, where faces and eyes appear through abstract symmetry and form. The subject matter is ambiguously threatening, depicting neither plant nor animal, weapon or friend. They are sentinels and spies, ghosts and neighbors, blades of knives and grass. They are scarecrows and sirens, barking warnings and beckoning you to come closer.” - Jules Buck Jones
