Barbara Bernstein (‘79) “Drawing a Breath,” one of ten essays included in, “Drawing in the Twenty-first Century: The Politics and Poetics of Contemporary Practice”.
Bernstein also gave a talk, “Drawing Attention” discussing her methodologies teaching drawing at the National Science Foundation in Washington, DC as part of its Art and Science series.
She is the Resident Artist at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and adjuncts at the University of Virginia. She has also been curating regional exhibitions, and was most recently a Cue Foundation curatorial finalist for her interdisciplinary exhibitions.
